Bond safely lift 170ton concrete section

After two halted attempts of lifting caused by Storm Ciara and Storm Dennis, Bond have successfully and safely carried out the lifting of the main footbridge on behalf of Buckingham Group which spanned over the busy Oystermouth Road and links the City Centre with the LC2 Complex.

Works were carried out under a possession on the evening of Sunday the 23rd of February in to the early hours of Monday morning granted by Swansea council and handed back early ensuring no delay.

The 170ton tandem lift was carried out by two cranes namely a Libeherr LTM 1750-9.1 and the other Libeherr LTM 11000DS that took ten hours to rig and de-rig with eleven low loaders in tow to transport the necessary equipment. A third crane assisted the rigging of the 1000te Liebherr.

Peter Smith, Director had this to say:

‘Weeks and weeks of meticulous planning had gone in to the lifting of this large 170ton post-tensioned concrete section of bridge which subsequently took fifteen minutes to lift and place down at the prepared lay down area. It’s testimony to everyone involved from City & County of Swansea, Buckingham Group, Ainscough Crane Hire, Bingham Hall Associates, Amberon Ltd and ourselves all coming together to ensure the safe removal of this section of the bridge.'

Bond complete Demolition contract at Fishguard

Bond Demolition Ltd have completed another job at the former Fishguard primary school on time and within budget to the satisfaction of our valued client.

Works involved the asbestos re-survey, removal and disposal of asbestos materials, carrying out of the soft-strip, demolition and grubbing up of concrete slabs, foundations and disposal of generated material off-site.

‘The demolition of the former Fishguard School was carried out with a close working relationship with both the client and residents this ensured minimal disruption to the local community and residents during the demolition works.

Lisvane - Another job complete another happy client

Bond Demolition Ltd recently completed another demolition job at Lisvane to the satisfaction of our valued client.

Works involved soft strip and removal of asbestos, removal of COSHH materials, demolition and uplifting of floor slabs along with the crushing and stockpiling of material.

Bond secure long term asbestos contract

Bond Demolition Ltd is pleased to announce it has been appointed on behalf of Wadworth Brewery to remove any associated asbestos in a range of historic pubs across the South of England.

The project is phased over a number of months in line with the Brewery’s strategic upgrading plans.

Wadworth has been brewing beer in the beautiful market town of Devizes, in Wiltshire, since 1875 producing the best of traditional beer and ales.

Fun Fact: Wadworth have utilised shire horses which, apart from a brief interruption, have served Wadworth for over 125 years. Today Sam and Jac are the latest in a long of shire horses which still delivers beers, wines and spirits within a two mile radius of the Brewery.

Bond secure Newbury for new client Homes England

Bond Demolition Ltd has proudly been appointed on behalf of Homes England to carry out the demolition of the former Magistrates Court and 20 Mill Lane, Newbury.

Works involve the asbestos removal, internal soft strip, demolition of structures including removal of foundations and hardstanding along with remedial works to the existing party wall.

Bond secure million pound project

Bond Demolition Ltd are delighted to announce that we have secured a million pound contract at the former Michaelston College in Cardiff for both the Asbestos Removal and Demolition packages.

The works will be carried out on behalf of Cardiff Council with a start date of January 2020 and running for an estimated 30 weeks.

South Gloucestershire Council - Completion

Bond Demolition Ltd have recently completed two schemes on behalf of South Gloucestershire Council.

Vinney Green Secure Unit - Works involved the soft strip, asbestos removal, removal of a section of the roof by hand under a watching brief by the ecologist, demolition, slab and foundation removal, crush and spread.

Charborough Road Traded Services - Works involved the soft strip, asbestos removal including licensed material, demolition, uplifting of slabs and foundation including basements and retaining walls, crush and stockpile material.

Both jobs were completed to the satisfaction of the Client who commended Bond Demolition Ltd on the professionalism showed taking particular care to the sensitive properties surrounding.
